The fabrication consisted of 482 Victaulic grooves and 539 welds totaling over 5,100 diameter inches. Fabrication was performed offsite at the Monroe Pipe Fabrication facility and shipped to the project site for installation. Due to site access limitations, piping had to be fabricated in sections no longer than 10-feet. Shop welding and the Victaulic grooving process eliminated the need for field welding, reducing the over-project schedule.
